Welcome to week four of the September Days blog/social media challenge. This weeks theme in the lead up to October, the entrance of fall and the start of Thanksgiving is Everything Pumpkin.
Here in the Southern Hemisphere pumpkin flavour is not a thing we associate with anything in particular and we tend to serve it with our main course at dinner as a vegetable. There are two main ways we cook it and those are either baked or boiled.
Pumpkins, the sign of autumn in the U.S. When you see the big orange ball, you know that the cooler weather has come. After growing the seeds all summer, you are making your final harvest before the winter sets in.
While some people like to carve the pumpkins, they make a delicious pie that is a traditional dessert for our Thanksgiving meals.
