Recently, members of the Crew reviewed WriteShop. In today’s giveaway, one of you will have the opportunity to win this innovative curriculum written for your elementary students.

Are you inspiring successful writers?

Helping students to write well is one of the most daunting tasks facing teachers and homeschool parents.

Award-winning WriteShop offers quality, parent-approved writing resources for kindergarten through high school, helping new and veteran homeschoolers alike teach writing with confidence.

Engaging, step-by-step lessons present students with the building blocks of the writing process—pre-writing, brainstorming, writing, and revising—and help you edit and evaluate their work.

Teaching writing has never been easier!

From Jenn’s RAQ

Each lesson is loosely scripted and thoroughly described within the Teacher’s Guide. I never found myself wondering if I was doing something right or if I was evaluating my daughter’s writing correctly. It is all laid out plainly and simply.

From Delivering Grace

I think that one of the chief benefits of WriteShop, particularly for my seven year old, was to encourage a culture of writing. The Writing Centre encouraged spontaneous writing and some of the projects particularly caught her imagination.

From Teachable Scotts Tots Homeschool

While, the student activities are fun, what I found amazing about the curriculum is the effort put into the Teacher’s Guide. The tips and instruction on these pages before the lessons even begin are really what forms the framework of the entire process. From there, each lesson is presented in such an easy-to-follow format.

From Every Bed of Roses

We are both enjoying the learning to write journey with WriteShop. I am enjoying having Nancy tutor me through the guide and Sir N is learning through delightful activities rather than mundane writing projects.

From Raising a Self Reliant Child

Yes, I do recommend WriteShop Primary, especially if your child is a reluctant writer. WriteShop likely requires much more preparation than the average writing program, I dare say. Yet, its creative and so incremental nature makes learning how to write such a pleasant and plausible endeavor.

From Ponderings from My Heart

I, too, really like WriteShop. Although there is a lot of preparation on the part of the teacher, that is a small and minor downside compared to the benefits I’m seeing with this program. I have enjoyed watching my son grow in his writing and, most of all, find joy in the process. I found that my involvement, the slow guided approach to writing, and all the fun creative activities really made this curriculum a success for us.

From There Will Be a $5 Charge for Whining

It has been easy for me to prepare for. The tips and helps in the Curriculum guide are just what I need to take me through each lesson. It is a thoughtful curriculum.

 From One Big, Healthy Family

I liked how straighforward the instructions were for the activities, and the “Parents say…” parts gave us some great ideas and tips.

From KGB That’s Me

The program is so well thought-out. There’s so much variety in the assignments so kids are not easily bored with the same old thing, and the activities make it seem more like fun games than boring old steps in the writing process.

From Thrift Schooling

There are so many aspects to this program that have been very beneficial to my son. My son’s confidence in writing has certainly been strengthened thanks to WriteShop!

One winner will receive the choice of WriteShop Primary (Book A, Book B, or Book C) or WriteShop Junior (Book D or Book E).  The winner will receive the Teacher’s Guide and related student materials (value $36-$107).

  1. I won the WriteShop giveaway and just received Junior D today. It looks wonderful! Thank you so much!! This is just what I need to help my 11 year old learn to write. I had been searching for a writing program for several weeks and then saw the giveaway. I entered, but never really thought I’d actually win. So this was a huge surprise! It really is exactly what we need! Thank you again, I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know. Tracy W.
