WriteShop Primary Book A (Teacher's Guide) - Print Edition  WriteShop Primary Book B (Teacher's Guide) - Print EditionFrom Write Shop, Write Shop Primary Level A (K -Grade 1) and Writeshop Primary Level B (Grades 1-3) Teachers’s Guides and Activity Set Worksheet Packs ($70 value)

WriteShop Primary Book A is recommended for students in kindergarten or first grade. The program accommodates pre-writers as well as beginning and developing writers. It teaches the skills of the writing process at the very simplest level through engaging activities, crafts, and picture books and creates an environment that promotes a joy of learning.

Since early lessons have the option to be entirely oral on the part of the child, there is no pressure, only the opportunity to talk about things that are familiar to him as he watches Mom write down his words. Slowly and gently, the child is asked to help with the actual writing, first in simple words, then through copywork. Extra challenges appear throughout each lesson to keep the interest of a more advanced child.

WriteShop Primary Book B introduces the steps of the writing process through engaging activities, crafts, and picture books and creates an environment that promotes a joy of learning. The program accommodates pre-writers as well as beginning and developing writers.

  1. My 4- and 6-year-olds can’t get enough of our Apologia Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day textbook. They know that it’s Apologia time when their little brother goes down for his nap each day. They crawl up on the couch and can’t wait for Mom to open the book and start reading!

  2. Currently reading a kid’s biography about Thomas Edison and The Saturdays…and listening to The Penderwicks on cd when we’re in the car 🙂

  3. Finished Monday with the complete Little House series (less The First Four Years too old for my boys). Tuesday I started reading them The Complete Chronicles of Narnia (it starts w/ The Magician’s Nephew).
