One Year Adventure Novel

This article is in collaboration with One Year Adventure Novel.

As the mother of a 15-year-old daughter who is ALWAYS writing, I am super excited about this product that several Crew members are going to be reviewing this year.  The One Year Adventure Novel is a complete one-year curriculum designed specifically for homeschool students.  I cannot wait to give this one a try!

The One Year Adventure Novel program is written by an award-winning novelist and it suitable for both those children (like my oldest) who LOVE to write and for those resistant writers (I have one of those coming along also).  It is designed for children in grades 8-12 and includes all of the following:

  • The Compass – a textbook with detailed explanations of the concepts explored in each class and sections of classic adventure novels used for study.
  • The Map – A workbook with over 400 questions designed to provoke thought and inspire creativity.
  • Teacher’s Guide – an easy to use system for grading your student’s work and helping them improve their writing skills.
  • Set of Instructional DVD’s – 7 DVD’s , containing all 78 lessons, covering every topic and every step in the curriculum.
  • 14 classic adventure novels including, Huckleberry Finn, Treasure Island, The Jungle Book and more.

And More!

Finding curriculum that your child is excited about…..that doesn’t happen often; so, when it does, I’m going to take advantage of it!

  1. I wish all homeschool books where created as beautifully as OYAN. This is a thorough look into the art of novel writing. It is fun and educational. It makes me wish I was a teenager again (that's saying A LOT). Thank you for letting us review this!

  3. Wish I had enough time to take this course. My son – a very reluctant writer- is really enjoying this. My daughter -an eager writer- is looking forward to her turn!
