One of my favorite places to go for back-to-school information is The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine. Each issue presents a plethora of advice, tips, curriculum, resources, and new ideas from trusted individuals and companies. While family favorites feature among the pages, I also get the chance to experience new homeschool products in features like the Resource Guide.
Experience New Products
While these companies and products are not completely unknown to this homeschooling mom, we have not used them in our homeschool (yet). They are highlighted in the Summer Resource Guide from The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine.

While these products may be new and unused by my own family, we have shared about some of these resources on our website in the past. For example, Greek ‘n’ Stuff has been featured twice on our website. We’ve highlighted Hey Andrew! Teach Me Some Greek, a curriculum for learning ancient Biblical Greek. And we shared about Geology and Apologetics from Northwest Treasures.

Institute for Excellence in Writing is no stranger to readers of our website. Over the years we have shared their products a number of times, including Fix It! Grammar and Structure and Style for Students. Our own family is using Fix It! Grammar in our homeschool as the grammar instruction for our soon-to-be fourth grader. We started with Level 1: Nose Tree and Level 2: Town Mouse and the Country Mouse.
Another favorite homeschool product for our family are the study guides from Progeny Press. The language arts study guides are from a Christian perspective and include Bible references, vocabulary, comprehension questions, and other activities to enrich each book read using the study guide. We’ve used a few of the guides from Progeny Press including The Long Way to a New Land Study Guide.
JAM with Latin is such a favorite with the Homeschool Influencer Network that it was awarded the 2023 Blue Ribbon for Favorite Foreign Language Resource! JAM with Latin will help students and parents learn and love Latin.
