This article is in collaboration with Math Essentials.
The Homeschool Review Crew has been working through a variety of books from Math Essentials. Some Crew members and their children are using No-Nonsense Algebra, some are working through Math Refresher for Adults, and the remainder of Crew members and their students have been using Mastering Essential Math Skills Book 2 Middle Grades/High School.
Using these books along with the accompanying videos which go with each lesson, students can expect to spend between twenty and thirty minutes per day mastering skills needed for each particular level.
Using both the lesson books and the videos, students will get a more full picture of what is being taught. With the videos, students will be tutored by instructor Rick Fisher, making it much easier to grasp concepts that they may not fully understand from just a work text.
Covering skills from whole numbers through charts, graphs and word problems, Mastering Essential Math Skills Book 2 Middle Grades/High School will ready students to move on to more advanced subjects.
No-Nonsense Algebra covers everything from Tools for Algebra to Algebra word problems. With it’s short, concise lessons, and the video teacher showing how it’s done, students can confidently master the subject.
Math Refresher for Adults allows the student to refresh, re-learn, or simply learn for the first time necessary math skills. Covering topics such as Basic Math, Geometry, Problem Solving and Pre-Algebra and Algebra, adult students can sharpen their skills in order to help kids with homework or re-enter the workforce.
