This article is in collaboration with WriteShop.
WriteShop offers various writing programs for kindergarten through high school in order to teach homeschoolers how to write with confidence. Their programs provide your children with step by step instructions to build their writing skills. In itself, WriteShop is not a complete language arts program but one which does encourage “growth and awareness” in vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
With WriteShop, the teacher’s manual is the heart of their program. Only a small portion of the teacher manual covers scheduling and teaching strategies while the main portion of it teaches you how to edit and evaluate your child’s work.
According to the WriteShop website, the WriteShop programs teach the elements of styles from developing strong paragraphs with good word choices and variety to essay writing.
