Working from Home While Homeschooling

For many families, working from home while homeschooling is a must. Whether you choose to work from home for financial reasons or other reasons, there are so many opportunities available today. Regular readers of the Homeschool Review Crew blog will recognize that many homeschool parents share their experiences with homeschool curriculum and products on our blog, as well as on their personal blogs, vlogs, and social media platforms, while working from home. Even if you do not wish to review products, there are other ways in which you can join The Old Schoolhouse® and work from home.

You might wonder how you can work from home AND homeschool. Sign up for a FREE Job Fair Webinar from 7–9 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 9, hosted by The Old Schoolhouse® to learn more! There are several different opportunities available for homeschooling parents. You can be part of a growing team of sales representatives dedicated to connecting family-friendly companies with the homeschooling community. If you are an established blogger looking for products to review, or if you have experience writing marketing copy, sign up! Perhaps, there is a teen in your homeschool looking for volunteer hours? There are unique opportunities available for teen homeschoolers.

Paul and Gena Suarez, owners of The Old Schoolhouse® family of products, will open the evening with prayer, and Deborah Wuehler, Senior Editor and Director of Production of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine®, will share an encouraging devotional.

Staff from across the company will then announce the current openings available in their departments, including:

Stephanie Hopson—Director of Advertising Sales

Kirsten West—Director of Marketing

Jodi Riddle—Director of Human Resources/Schoolhouse Ambassadors Manager

Charlotte Gochnauer—Review Crew Business Manager

Tess Hamre—Single Reviews Manager

Tammie Bairen—Executive Manager of SchoolhouseTeachers.com

One of the great benefits of joining The Old Schoolhouse® is that training is provided for all positions to help you succeed, so even though you will be working from home, there are educational training webinars you can attend, as well as online conferencing to assist you in your position.

Many members of the Homeschool Review Crew have taken on additional positions with The Old Schoolhouse® or moved into different areas after leaving the Crew. Yvonne at The Life We Build, who joined the Crew in 2018, has attended job fairs in the past and joined us as a Schoolhouse Ambassador. She shared: “Being a part of the Review Crew has blessed my family tremendously. We have been introduced to so many great homeschool vendors that I am almost certain we would never have tried.”

Susan of My Happy Homeschool has been blessed by being a Crew member, as well as by having been able to help her local homeschooling community through her work as a Schoolhouse Ambassador. Her homeschool group was able to share materials and resources available through The Old Schoolhouse® with others at their annual Summer Summit

Being a member of the Homeschool Review Crew can also be beneficial for you as a homeschool mom. Yvie of Homeschool On the Range said, “As a homeschool mom, the friendships I’ve made on the Crew have been a huge blessing!” Personally, I feel the same way! I am so thankful for my fellow Crew members and their friendships.

Heather Volger, the Affiliate Manager at The Old Schoolhouse®, shared: “After blogging for over ten years, it became clear to me that what I had been doing all along was actually marketing. When it came to product reviews, I had to learn many tools of the trade to effectively promote products for various companies. Three of these years, I was blessed to be on the Crew. During this time, I was able to hone my marketing techniques, in addition to having a chance to work alongside many like-minded homeschooling moms! After attending a job fair for TOS, I learned about the incredible opportunities available within the company. A few months later, I applied for an open position and have truly found my niche in the marketing department of TOS!”

We invite you to join us on February 9, 2021, to discover how to put your experience as a homeschooling parent to work by earning money or other perks from home. There will even be trivia and giveaways—you won’t want to miss this informative and fun-filled evening! Register now to reserve your spot—seating is limited!
