Winter can be a challenging time when we’re stuck in doors due to inclement weather. However there are multiple FREE options other than screen time as shared by Michele yesterday.

Hand Crafts
Indoor weather is a great time to learn a hand craft. The joy of handcrafts is that they are not busy work. Learning to crochet, sew or knit for example has many benefits for the student.
Making soap or candles is a great way to encorportate hands on history and science without the student being award of it. Soy candles are an excellent option as you do not need to heat the wax to boiling and is safe for the student both young and old.
Once the student has masterd the art they can make gifts with their new found knowledge.

Life Skills
This time of the year is also a fabulous time to invest in your children’s life skills.
