It’s March, which for many homeschool moms and dads signifies the beginning of the Homeschool Convention season. We thought it would be fun to share with you an online blog conference of sorts, here on the TOS Homeschool Crew blog.
Each day this week, we will be highlighting some of our past reviews . . . Crew favorites. So as you are planning your visits to conventions, you’ll have some knowledge under your belt to make prudent and informed purchases.
We will share reviews from across the curriculum, in many different styles. Hopefully, there will be something for everyone.
As an added bonus, we’ll also share with you one convention each day at which The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine will be represented. We are hopeful that you are attending one of these conventions, you’ll find a few minutes to stop by our booth and introduce yourself. We’d love to meet you!
We’re calling this series of posts the TOS Crew Bloggy Convention. Enjoy!
Bright Ideas Press has been a favorite vendor of the TOS Crew from the beginning. One of the Crew’s very favorite products last year was WonderMaps. Take a look at what Crew members thought about this customizable collection of over 350 maps!
Many homeschool parents desire to add Latin instruction to their curriculum. It can be an intimidating subject to teach. Classical Academic Press has found a way to make Latin fun and easy to learn. Last year, TOS Crew received 3 different levels of Latin curricula–Song School Latin, Latin for Children A, and Latin Alive.

Another of the Crews favorite companies to review for is Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). For this review, the Crew received Teaching Writing/Student Writing Intensive, along with a Portable Wall.
Our convention focus for today is the Southeast Homeschool Convention. There will be 5 Great Homeschool Conventions this year and TOS will be represented at all of them! This will be the first and is coming up this month, March 22-24 in Greenville, SC. Speakers include: Diana Waring, Mark Hamby, Andrew Pudewa, Carol Barnier, David Hazell, Todd Wilson, and Jim Weiss. There are many more amazing speakers, but that should whet your appetite.
I hope you enjoyed today’s first installment of the TOS Crew Bloggy Convention. Check back tomorrow for more reviews and convention news!
