The Wildlife of God’s Creation

It is such an amazing time of the year. We are in a season of new life. Not just flora but also fauna. As avid wildlife lovers, we always enjoy exploring the outdoors and seeing what we can find. From deer to rabbits, sheep, squirrels, birds, and even spiders—God’s creation can teach us much!

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? ~ Matthew 6:26

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider its ways, and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. ~Proverbs 6:6–8

We can see from these small ants the value of hard work. If you have ever owned an ant farm, you can see how complex, how precise their underground homes are. No matter how small, great things are possible when we work together.

Locusts have no king, yet all of them go out in rank. ~ Proverbs 30:27

Locusts, also known as grasshoppers, are not powerful individually, but they are very powerful in a swarm! A lesson in strength in unity. Again, a lesson in great things that can happen when many are one accord.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:31

Eagles are strong and majestic, they are powerful, and they are sure. No matter the storm, they always rise above it.

Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. ~ Matt 10:16

These birds are so beautiful, whiter than snow. They are faithful for life, a representative of peace and love. So we too can be loyal, peaceful.

God delights in these wildlife animals and we should too!
