Mamas, what are you filling your mind with? What are you listening to when you are standing at the sink doing dishes or going for a walk? Those are great opportunities to stack tasks and listen to some Christian homeschool encouragement simultaneously! Podcasts are a great teacher help.
The Old Schoolhouse® has now released a podcast—the Hey, Mama! Homeschool Show. Every Monday, a new episode will be released. Each episode will be based around a topic important to homeschool moms and their families. Every week of the month, we will hear from a different one of our four hosts. Each of these women speaks with such a calm, soothing voice you can’t help but enjoy their personal stories and words of wisdom and encouragement. Each of our four podcast hosts are at different stages in their homeschooling journey and use different approaches. It is so helpful to get input and advice from a variety of moms; there is something on this podcast that will resonate with everyone!
When you take a listen, you will recognize a couple of familiar voices if you have tuned into the The Canadian Schoolhouse live streams regularly. Two of the podcast hosts were regular TCS live stream hosts. Christine Weller and Stephanie Morrison are also expanding their sharing to include the podcast. There is a wealth of experience and knowledge to learn from these two women. I always look forward to hearing what they have to say.
About Your Canadian Hosts
Christine Weller is a staff member of SchoolhouseTeachers.com and a homeschool mom of two boys living in Ontario. Her boys are ten and six and have different learning styles. She has experience with following the interests of her boys and tells some fun stories about how she inspires them and encourages them to learn. Christine is a lover of books and has many wonderful tips on how to cultivate a culture of reading in your home. Not only does she read books, but she also writes them! She has two published children’s books available on Amazon. She is a knowledgeable resource if you are looking for information on how to school year-round. You will not want to miss what she has to say each month on the podcast!
Stephanie Morrison writes for The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine, is a business builder, and homeschooler of her two youngest sons, who are now teenagers. She recently moved from Ontario to a permaculture property in Saskatchewan. Steph is always so cheerful and pleasant to listen to. She is knowledgeable about homeschooling kids into the older years and how to involve them in work on the property. She has experience with entrepreneurship and helping people build their businesses from home so they can raise their families. You will leave any podcast with Steph feeling inspired and encouraged to carry on in your homeschool journey, as well as more confident in how you are doing things!
You can listen to the Hey Mama! Homeschool Show wherever you listen to podcasts. You can even access them via the homeschool show website, where you can also review the helpful show notes and links the host provides. Let our hosts pour into you so you have what you need to pour into your family. Listening to this podcast is like sitting with a dear friend to discuss homeschooling. We hope you’ll add our podcast to your list of teacher helps!
