Is anybody ready for some good old-fashioned fun about now? This time of year seems to have us racing from one activity to the other. Family time is precious and we want to make the most of every minute we can spend together.
Since 1998, Out of the Box Games has created fun and original party, card and board games that encourage families and friends alike to make the most of time spent together. This award winning company strives to make the games they create easy to learn, fun to play and filled with opportunity for real interaction.
The Schoolhouse Review Crew recently had the opportunity to review two educational games from Out of the Box.
Howdy Pardners! The Old West was filled with slick snake oil salesmen. The object for Snake Oil is simple. One player picks a card to become the Customer. It’s up to the remaining players (the Salesmen) to come up with the most outrageous product and convince the Customer to put their money down. The player with the most Customer Cards wins the whole shindig.
Snake Oil is for ages 10 to Adult. The game is intended for 3-10 players and we are assured that it only takes 5 minutes to learn. The game itself lasts 20-30 minutes.
The perfect amount of time for all manner of fun and hysterics. Not to mention plenty of opportunity to hone some of those much needed speaking skills.
If you have a slightly younger crowd Snake Oil-Party Potion might be more your speed. This game is for ages 8-Adult. 3-6 players can play Party Potion and we are assured again that it is easy to learn.
The whole family is still encouraged to play…in fact, it can be played by itself or mixed with another Snake Oil edition.
