This article is in collaboration with Music Together.
According to their website, “Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, first and second graders, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.”
Music Together classes are offered in locations across the United States and in more than 40 overseas countries. They also have an online store that sells instruments for preschoolers (shakers, drums, etc), CDs and teaching materials.
Members of the Homeschool Review Crew recently received the Music Together “Family Favorites” CDs and the companion “Family Favorites Songbook for Teachers”.
The CD includes 19 of the best-loved Music Together songs. Samples of all of the songs can be found on the “Family Favorites” CD page.
The Songbook for Teachers contains 112 pages of music and teaching suggestions for each of the songs on the Family Favorites CD.
What started as a few small music classes first offered to the public twenty-five years ago is now a widely acclaimed early childhood music education program that has reached thousands of families. With the Music Together Family Favorites CD and Songbook, the gift of music instruction can reach homeschooling families, too.
Many Crew families have been using Music Together for the past few weeks. Check out their opinions of the program!
We are going to continue to enjoy this long past this review time. We have been listening to the CD often.
