Homeschool Crew Planner Ad Contest

Recently, we decided to have a little fun with the Homeschool Crew.  So, we decided to host an ad-writing contest.  Any Crew members who were interested were welcome to participate by writing an ad about The 2010 Schoolhouse Planner and sharing it on their blog.

Our judges have been reading and scoring these ads all week; now, they’ve narrowed the competition down to the top 16.  We’d like YOU, our readers, to help us select your favorite ad. (We have prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place).  So, please click through the links below, read these fun ads, and then leave a comment with  the # of your favorite ad .  Thanks!

(And, while you’re at it, be sure to click through some of the links and purchase the Schoolhouse Planner for yourself!  We’re also running a pre-sale on our soon-to-be-released Student Planners, which you’ll definitely want to check out!)

  1. # 8 — no question about it! Knowing how much effort I put into my own simple print ad, I can only imagine how much time and energy went into creating this fun, captivating, and informative ad. It’s definitely a winner, in my opinion:)

  2. I like #3, #7, #8 and # 13. Sorry I couldn’t make up my mind but those were the ones that made me want to buy the planner and I am not even homeschooling yet.

  3. These are all great and very creative. I think that #16 most clearly explains all that the planner has to offer though. I might just be sold. 🙂

  4. #5 creates a well lovable, most possibly inspirational children’s story.

All(5) my kids sat around to listen to the story. They sat on their seats in anticipation. What they didn’t realize it was an ad till I told them.

    Kuddos to #5!

  5. There are just way too many here… Can I get a few votes in one comment? Maybe for multiple people?

#1 – for my MI husband
    #5 – for my fairy-tale-loving daughter
    #16 – for the wanna-be me
#13 – for the real me – seeing as I have multiple personalities and all…

  6. I love #16 – I don’t even homeschool, but may buy the planner for the rest of the stuff.

The layout is pleasing to they eye and while it is creative (what’s on your plate?), the creativity does not distract from getting a clear, concise idea of what the product offers.

  7. My vote… #11, #7 and #16 in that order. If I only get to vote for one it would be #11, because I’m a “tweaker” too! LOL

  8. WOW! All of these are AMAZING ads! But I would have to go with #13 as my first pic and #16 as my second. GREAT JOB TO ALL!!! Can’t wait to see who the “winners” are (of course everyone who submitted an ad is a winner in my book!).

  9. All of the entries were very creative and some were humorous. Some were too long to read through and too fictional/unreal.

    I loved entry #8 and #13.

    #8 captures your attention!!

  10. My vote is for #11, (though if voting more than once was allowed, #3 and #16 would get my votes, too!) While plenty of the others were very CREATIVE… those 3 are the one that made ME want to buy the planner.

  11. Wow this was hard! How in the world did you guys narrow this down to only 16?

My vote will have to be #5. I LOVE it. If we are allowed a second vote, I would do for #7. I really enjoyed reading all of these!

  12. #16 was definately the best. It was very attractive and well-organized, easy to read, and if I wanted to review any points, they would be easy to find. I was ready to buy, and I don’t even have any kids!

  13. Boy, it’s a toss up, these are all really great ads! My favorites were 8 and 13…but I think going the extra mile with creating a video, I am going to have to say my number one is number 8!
Great job ladies, you are all SO creative!

  14. I love #16. It’s light, bright, and very well organized. It speaks well to a type A personality such as my own. Great job!

  15. Number 8 gets my vote- very creative! I pretty much never make it through advertisements with too many words or ideas to follow, so Becky’s video was the perfect ad in my opinion.

  16. Wow there are some creative people out there. I loved the plates on #16. I have good memories from the plates. The text for that ad is well done. There are some designers that used a lot of card and scrapbooking touches. My vote goes to #16.

  17. I’d vote for #1 in the top spot because I think the Mission Impossible theme is something all mom’s can relate to in this situation.
