Arts and Crafts for Elementary Kids

Arts and Crafts for Elementary KidsI don’t know about you but one of the things I enjoy about children is their ability to whole-heartedly participate in artistic pursuits with joy and abandonment. For our children the focus needs to remain on enjoying the process of artistic expression.

Art and craft at home is an immensely diverse and intimate human activity that each and everyone of us can embark upon and enjoy.  The biggest challenge we have is to tackle this subject without over burdening our students but allow them to explore their own personal creative expression.

Pablo Picasso said it best – “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”

Art is defined as any activity involving imaginative or technical skill and craft as an activity involving the skill of making things by hand.  This week the crew would like to share some ideas to support you in the wonderfully diverse topic at home.
