Do you have a desire to teach your student cursive? Is the thought daunting? CursiveLogic offers a 96-page full-color curriculum workbook containing the teacher instruction and practice pages. Four intelligent, logical lessons work through a five-step process in which students will be able to write the lowercase alphabet, connecting letters fluidly.

Letters are grouped by shape: Four foundational shapes underlie the entire lowercase alphabet. The four lessons sort the alphabet into these four basic shapes. CursiveLogic teaches all of the similar letters in separate lessons, simplifying the learning process.

Letter strings: Rather than teaching letters individually, CursiveLogic teaches all of the letters that share a common shape in a connected string. This allows the letters to reinforce each other and means students are writing cursively from the very beginning.

Color coding: Each letter string has a theme color that helps students remember the shape.

Catch phrases: CursiveLogic uses “verbal task analysis,” or saying an action verbally as it is performed manually, to aid the development of muscle memory and to give students a mnemonic they can return to over and over.

Real words: Because CursiveLogic teaches a group of letters in a single lesson, students can write real words at the end of the first lesson. For some students, this immediate success is a huge motivator.

In addition to consumable practice pages, the workbook contains three dry-erase surfaces that recap all of CursiveLogic’s key exercises needed to learn and practice the four CursiveLogic letter strings.
