Welcome to the Back to School blog Hop with the Homeschool Review Crew. One of the most common conversations you will hear among homeschooling families is “What do you use to teach … ?” Or “Is it possible to home educate without spending boat loads of money on Curriculum?” The answers are as varied as their are home educating families home educating.
I am one of the very blessed Mum’s who started home educating BEFORE there was the internet and in a country where there were NO Curriculum Fairs so I did not get an opportunity to become overwhelmed with choice. A quick search on Google reveals a result of 1,180,000! With that much choice it’s no wonder homeschooling families are feeling overwhelmed.
Today the Homeschool Review Crew would like to remove some of that confusion and reveal to you how they choose curriculum and the reasons behind some of their choices.
Each week the Crew are privileged to use new resources and share their experiences via their reviews with you. This is our service to the Homeschool Community to help you find the resource that will work for your family. At the end of each year the Crew vote for their best resources in numerous categories.

One of the biggest threats to homeschooling peace and the feeling of being overwhelmed can be the curriculum. Before buying the latest fad be sure to ask yourself WHY are you buying this and WILL you use it? I have a library shelf at home full of things I thought would be fabulous because it was fabulous in someone else’s home.
So grab a cup of your favorite beverage and read what the Crew has to say about Homeschool Curriculum.
