CTCMath Review

This article is in collaboration with CTCMath.

Do you ever wish you could bring a math tutor into your home on whim? Would it make your life easier to have someone else explain math concepts to your child? If your answer to either of these questions is yes, then you might want to check out CTCMath.

CTCMath offers online math instruction with over 1,300 video tutorials for students in Kindergarten through High School. From basic math to difficult subjects like algebra and trigonometry, their program gives kids, and their parents, access to lessons they can follow at their own pace, giving them to opportunity to stay with a concept until they get. In addition, CTC offers diagnostic tests that help pinpoint skills students need to develop and interactive and printable worksheets that allow them to practice the skills they are learning. Since the program is internet-based, users can access CTC anytime, anywhere they have an internet connection.

Students can also print lesson summaries that include formulas and examples to guide them as they complete lessons, then store those summaries for a quick review as they move through concepts. As they finish their lessons, children are able to view and print full solutions for each problem, making it easy for them to find and correct their mistakes.

For parents, CTCMath makes it easy to track their child’s progress. All of the worksheets self-grade, and parents receive a weekly report in their email telling them how much time their child spent working on the program, which lessons they did, what their scores were, and what how much overall progress they have made. Parents can also log in to check on their child’s work at any time. Parents can choose which grade level to assign to their child. So, children who need to catch up can work at the level they need to until they build up their skills and children who want to go beyond their grade level can move on to more challenging math levels.

CTCMath offers multiple single and family membership plans for parents to choose from. For this review, Crew members were given access to the 12 month family membership plan, which gave them access to the full program at all grade levels for up to ten students for up to one year.
