Heroes of History Reviews

Bringing history to life with tales of real-life heroes can make a difference in children’s lives as they learn about positive role models. YWAM Publishing, the publishing side of Youth With a Mission, does just that with their Christian Heroes: Then & Now and Heroes of History series. Members of the Homeschool Review Crew recently received selected titles from these series. In the pages of these books, history, geography, government, and science are presented in a unique way, and the tales of these inspirational men and women leave a lasting impression on children as they grow.

Christian Heroes: Then & Now

The Christian Heroes: Then & Now series was written by Janet and Geoff Benge and covers ordinary men and women whose trust in God and how what they did shaped history. These books are available as individual books or as boxed sets. Each book also has an accompanying study guide available for purchase. The review crew were given six choices plus the accompanying downloadable study guide.

Heroes of History

The Heroes of History was also written by Janet and Geoff Benge. This series of books features historic figures and tells about their lives. It covers historical figures from Christopher Columbus to Harriet Tubman to Alan Shepard. The review crew had 26 books from which to choose plus the accompanying downloadable study guide.
