When our children are ready for upper levels of Math, it can become a bit intimidating. Isn’t it wonderful that we live in a time when we can get some help in this area? The Homeschool Review Crew has had the opportunity to receive and review Thinkwell Homeschool over the last few weeks. The courses they offer begin with grade 6. They offer honors classes as well for students gifted in Math.
Beginning with Thinkwell Homeschool is easy. They even have placement tests to help you figure out what course would best suit your child. Once you purchase your online subscription, you decide when to start the course. If your student doesn’t complete it within the 12 month subscription time, you can purchase a 1, 3, or 6-month extension. They have a schedule for you to follow, or you can go at your own pace. It is up to you.
The Review Crew was given 3 courses to choose from. They included:
- THINKWELL’S INSTRUCTOR-LED ALGEBRA 1
- THINKWELL’S INSTRUCTOR-LED ALGEBRA 2
- THINKWELL’S INSTRUCTOR-LED GEOMETRY
Each online course includes video lessons that last about 5 to 10 minutes each. They contain illustrations, artwork, key ideas, and definitions of key terms. The exercises they are given during each class are graded automatically. Your child will use printed worksheets to review what they have been taught. Once they have completed a lesson they will be given quizzes and tests to see what they have learned. At the end of each course, you can request a certificate of completion. It is all right there, ready for you to use.
