Are your children a little bored with reviewing their multiplication facts with flash cards and worksheets? Do they need a little more fun interjected into their days? The Homeschool Crew recently tried out a fun supplementary math curriculum called Times Alive!, published by City Creek Press. This innovative company which was founded by former Sylvan Learning Center owner Judy Liautaud has been Helping Kids Get a Kick Out of learning since 1992.
The Crew received the product Times Alive!, which is a software product conveniently available for purchase either as an electronic download or as a CD-Rom. Versions for both PC and Mac are available. Times Alive! contains a pre-test, cartoons, songs, multiplication worksheets and more. By viewing the short video clips containing animated characters singing catchy lyrics, students may be highly motivated to learn their multiplication facts. My own elementary aged children have certainly enjoyed viewing these cartoons, and have not complained a bit about completing the worksheets via the computer, either!
City Creek Press also sells additional materials to help children learn their multiplication facts. They sell Times Alive! books, activity books, music CDs, posters and flash cards.
