This article is in collaboration with All About Reading.
The Homeschool Review Crew has had the opportunity to review a few products from All About Learning in the past. Crew members reviewed All About Spelling two years ago and last year. We reviewed All About Homophones. And we reviewed two readers, the Beehive Reader (now named Cobweb the Cat) and What Am I?
Those readers were the first step in a new division for All About Learning, and for the past few weeks, a few lucky Crew Members have had the chance to review the newest offering by All About Reading.
All About Reading Level Pre-1 is for preschoolers and kindergartners. The Deluxe Package includes all of this:
Level Pre-1 focuses on what they refer to as the Big Five Skills:
- Letter knowledge
- Phonological awareness
- Print awareness
- Listening comprehension
- Motivation to read
They maintain that all five of these skills are essential in preparing a child to learn to read, and they teach these skills through a combination of fun games, cute letter-based crafts, poetry, and even food.
All About Reading Level 1 will go along with All About Spelling Level 1, and is expected out soon.
You can visit All About Reading for two free activity books to check it out for yourself. And samples are also available on the order page.
Level Pre-1 is available as a basic package which includes everything you need to teach one student, or a Deluxe package. The Deluxe package includes the Zebra puppet (which is even more adorable in person than in the above picture), the tote bag, and the activity card box. You can also purchase the consumables separately if you are planning to use this with more than one student.
