Last week we shared our Word for the year ahead. A word is a wonderful way to stay focused and encouraged with a one word reminder. This week I was pondering the fact that it’s the time of the year where we consider our hopes, goals and dreams.
King Solomon reminds us in Proverbs 29:18–
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Living each day or season without a goal is not good for us or for our children. God himself tells us without a vision we perish. Goals give us focus and purpose. They help to clarify our activities and help us evaluate our choices from day to day. Without a goal, we have no purpose or focus either. Today I would like to encourage you to see each day as a new day to reach for your goals, hopes, and dreams. Pray and seek His heart for you for the year ahead.
