Debra is sometimes shocked to see how far her life has strayed from her initial career as a CPA. She has been married to Dale for 22 years, and they are the parents of four young men and one not-so-little-anymore girl. They’ve been homeschoolers all along and prefer a literature-based approach utilizing as many read-alouds and audiobooks as possible. Being a family of geeks, they also tend towards loads of science. Although they currently live on the Eastern plains of Colorado, they do try to make it “home” to North Dakota and Minnesota a couple times a year. You can find Debra blogging at Footprints in the Butter.

Since being a small girl, Dawn only dreamed of being a wife and mom. For years, she really wondered if God heard the desires of her heart. She continued waiting for Him to reveal the man she would share the rest of her days with. During those years, she was able to develop her professional skills in the area of Healthcare Management and Strategic Planning and eventually received her Doctorate Degree in Naturopathic Medicine. In the midst of those years, God directed her to Gary, her husband of now 22 years, and brought into their lives 4 wonderful children. Their oldest is a homeschool graduate and will soon be joined by her younger sister with the boys not far behind. Rather than a particular method of homeschooling, they prefer an individualized education for each child in line with the way that God has naturally wired them. Dawn is now excited to use her professional experience as part of the Leadership Team after having served as a blogger on the Crew since 2013. You can find Dawn blogging about their family farm, natural health, homesteading, and homeschooling at Double O Farms.

She has been a TOS Crew reviewer since 2012 and is excited to be joining the leadership team in a new capacity this year.
Tess had planned to balance a semi-professional career in theater with being a wife and mother. God had other plans. She was first introduced to the idea of home education when her oldest daughter was a mere 14 months old and by the time her daughter was 3 considered herself a homeschooler. Her oldest daughter is now in college. Tess joined the crew in June 2010 as it began its 3rd year. She lives in wet, rainy, but beautiful western Washington with her husband of 21 years, four amazing daughters, and two cats. You can find Tess blogging at: Circling Through This Life. She has been reviewing for the Crew since 2010.
