Word of the Year

Happy New Year!

Resolutions. Goals. New Year’s Plans.

Call it what you will, but this is the time of year when many of us are reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the next one with great anticipation.

I recently read that the reason resolutions don’t work is because the focus is on the person we’re tired of being (overweight, procrastinating, unfocused, lazy, disorganized), instead of on the person God wants us to become and the process needed for that transformation.

I think that’s why the idea of choosing a word for the year has become so popular. Having a word to guide us gives us a positive trait to strive for.

Word 2015

As we all look forward to the New Year, it is our prayer here at the Homeschool Review Crew that your year is filled with blessings, transformation, and hope for the future God has planned for you.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Has God laid a word on your heart to direct your life? We’d love for you to tell us about it in the comments. If you are a blogger and have blogged about your word, we invite you to link up with us.

May your year be filled with the Lord’s richest blessings.
