Personal Finance Illustrated® Homeschool Edition Reviews

This article is in collaboration with PEM Life.

One of the most important skills we can teach our youth is how to be financially stable.  If you have an older child, especially one in high school, you may want to check out PEM LIFE.  They offer a comprehensive financial literacy curriculum called Personal Finance Illustrated® Homeschool Edition. This curriculum is designed to help our youth learn sound economic principles to help them find their way in adulthood.

Personal Finance Illustrated® Homeschool Edition allows parents to be as involved in the teaching as they choose.  There are two pathways: one allowing a hands-off approach and one where the parents are quite involved.  For the parent who wants to be a bit more involved, PEM LIFE offers lesson plan documents and instructor guides.  Parents can feel confident that they can guide their children through the curriculum effectively without being financial experts.

Parents can also have peace-of-mind knowing that PEM LIFE uses solid instructional design methods to create the lessons.  Students can feel good knowing that the lessons have been built to be both fun and engaging.  Lessons include videos and colorful graphics to help illustrate the learning concepts.

With Personal Finance Illustrated® Homeschool Edition students have access to the following:

  • 15 Core Units
  • 64 Individual Lessons
  • 30 Financial Calculators
  • Hours of Video Instruction

Personal Finance Illustrated® Homeschool Edition is completely customizable.  Parents have the option to either follow the suggested learning path, or include extras as they see fit.  PEM LIFE can be used in the manner that fits your family and your students the best.
