Maestro Music Reviews

Stories In Music Series: Composer Stephen Simon and art director/music educator par excellence Bonnie Ward Simon combine children’s classics with classical music, illustrating a familiar story with music. Selected Crew members received the classic story set to music, Peter and the Wolf, from Maestro Music.

Maestro Music packs the CDs with fun and information. The Peter and the Wolf CD is much more than a single performance of the famous audio story set to music. The seven tracks on the CD and 24-page program book provide an entertaining way to expose our children (and our selves) to not just classical music, but to classic stories, to musical instruments and the sounds they make, to illustrating a story not with visuals, but with music and sounds, and to practice listening skills. They give us the history of the story and the composer, too. Click the link to the Maestro Music web site to hear samples.
