Blog Cruise: Adding Fun to Your Homeschool Day

Adding FUN to your Homeschool Day

I don’t know about you, but some days it feels like homeschooling  just isn’t very fun. Mired down by lesson plans, check boxes, the 3 R’s,  worrying about who’s reading and who’s getting their multiplication tables down, working in chores, cooking, dentist appointments and never feeling like I’ve done enough, the word “fun” just isn’t always on the tip of my tongue when someone asks how things are going.

But maybe that’s just me? I know I could use some help in this area.

So this week, we asked the TOS Homeschool Crew this question:

How do you add fun to your homeschool day?

Carissa, at My Life on a Taffy Pull, nourishes both mind and body with “Homeschool + Food = Fun“!

Over at Ozark Ramblings, Beth wonders if it’s ok to put “School and Fun in the Same Sentence“, but quickly proves that in her homeschool, the answer is undeniably, “yes!”.

April, at Eclectic Montage,  is “Adding Fun to the Homeschool Day” in her own way as well.

At Mozi Esme, things can sometimes get in a rut. Find out what Jane does for “A Change of Pace“.

As The Blessings Pour Out, Heather has discovered that “Variety is the Spice of Life“.

At Fairfield Corner Academy, having Dad home more helps Christa do more “Just for Fun” in their homeschool day.

And finally, I share about how we add fun every week in “Back to Friday Fun School Today” at Ben and Me.
