Big IQ Kids

Big IQ Kids is an online learning tool that provides daily academic lessons for elementary and middle school students in an interactive format.  The daily lessons build good study habits, lead to better grades and improved self-confidence.  Big IQ Kids is a FREE Program, however they also have a Premium Program.  You can view the differences in each HERE.

TOS Crew Members received a one-year Premium Subscription.  Included are lessons in Spelling, Vocabulary, Math, and U.S. States.

The Spelling program has over a 40,000 word dictionary, and comes pre-loaded with 40 lessons or word lists.  Parents also have the option of creating their own word lists, and the program will automatically customize a week’s worth of lessons, quizzes, and tests based on the word list created.

The Math program is set up so that students can focus on whichever area they are currently working on in their regular math program.  This gives them plenty of extra practice on particular math topics, such as double digit addition, or single digit multiplication.  You can also have the program automatically generate grade and subject specific lessons per your own personal requirements for your child.

The Vocabulary program uses an extensive library of elementary through SAT prep words.  It comes pre-loaded with word lists, or like the Spelling program above, parents can also customize to include their own word lists, and the program will automatically generate a week’s worth of lessons, quizzes and tests based on the word list created.

The U.S. States program tests students on state locations, capitals, spelling, abbreviations, and general state facts.  Parents can also add additional facts to be included in the child’s lessons.  If the student passes with 100% mastery in the “State Mastery Exam”, they will be awarded with a State Master Certificate.

There are a few incentives added into this program.  Students are awarded with games upon the completion of a lesson, as well as a chance to be in the 100% Club when receiving 100% on a quiz.

There are different pricing packages for a  Premium Membership for Big IQ Kids that range from $19.99 per month to $99.99 for 12 months.  You can also choose to purchase a membership to the individual subjects offered, as low as $7.99 per month for each subject.  You can learn more about the pricing options here.
