Blog Cruise — Large Family Homeschooling

Homeschooling a large family is challenging. There’s no doubt about that. Oftentimes, moms of many find themselves getting up  during the night to feed a newborn while simultaneously parenting and homeschooling high schoolers, preschoolers, and everything in between.

How do they get it all done?

Come along as members of the Homeschool Crew share their answers to this question.

Lisa @ The Berry PatchWhat Makes One a “Large Family?”

” So when does a family become a “large family” exactly? I certainly don’t feel I’m one with only three children. Although, sometimes by the world’s standards we fit that category.”

Alyson @ Family Style SchoolHomeschooling with 4 Children

“So whether you think a family of six is large or not, I will share with you some tips and tricks I use to keep my family on track and most of all keep myself sane.”

Linda @ Homeschooling 6One Income Family Homeschooling 6 Children

“We have 6 beautiful children, ages 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 years old. One may wonder how on earth can you afford it? In fact many times I have had people ask, ‘What does your husband do for a living?’ and ‘Do you need government help?’ or ‘How do you afford it?’.”

Lisa @ The Happy Homeschool MomHomeschooling a Crowd

“I really don’t think it is more difficult to homeschool 7 children than it is to homeschool 1 or 2.  The truth is (and it may surprise you unless you know me in real life) I am terrible at being organized or sticking to a schedule.”

Marisa @ Lighthouse Christian Academy —  How do you do it? Schooling More Than One Grade at a Time

“When they find out that I have four children and am expecting number five, they say, ‘How do you teach them all?'”

Marcy @ Ben and MeFruitful Living with a Full House (a guest post)

“I’d say, too, that in a large homeschooling family, since there’s an even higher-than-average number of children to ruin, our mommy guilt might be further compounded. If you’re one of those moms, I want to encourage you today with my own story.”
